Project Closing Meeting
The closing meeting of the Erasmus+ KA210-VET project was held with broad participation. Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ruhi Koçak, Kıvanç Energy Group Human Resources Specialist Cansu Ak, Corporate Communications Officer Nihan Soyergin, Education Unit Manager Zeynep Kaliç, Tamaksan Transformer Board President Mehmet Tepretmez, MCC Engineering owner Mehmet Erdoğan, other sector representatives, institution managers, managers and students attended the meeting.
Under the leadership of the school principal Abdurrahim Gümüş, project contact person Mesut Akkoyun and school teachers Ekrem Malı, Erkin Özmutlu, Mert Çekmen provided information about the project. The school principal emphasized the project's contributions to the local people and especially to the employment of newly graduated young people. He stated that the digital education materials needed by the solar energy sector were prepared within the scope of the project and that these materials were offered to educators, students and the sector as free open sources. He also stated that they would continue their work on vocational education by developing new projects according to the needs of the sector. Gümüş concluded his speech by thanking all stakeholders who provided support. The project team stated that they acted with the understanding of "Every ending is a new beginning" and that they developed projects and carried out new work with new collaborations in vocational education.
Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ruhi Koçak, who attended the meeting, stated that they appreciated the school's work and emphasized the importance of vocational training and that their support would continue to strengthen industry and education cooperation. Stating that vocational training plays a critical role in meeting the need for intermediate staff, Koçak stated that they are carrying out serious work in this area and wished success to students and teachers. Sector representatives who attended the meeting also stated that they are ready to support the school's work.
The program ended with question and answer sessions between sector representatives, teachers and students. The closing meeting of the project was evaluated as an event that supported innovative approaches in vocational education and strengthened cooperation between stakeholders.
